Paid Leave Hawai‘i is a broad coalition of organizations and individuals working to win paid family and medical leave for ALL families in Hawai‘i. We're building on previous efforts to secure guaranteed paid leave by advocating with legislators. We know families are strongest when we have time to heal from serious illness or injury, welcome a new child, or help a loved one recover or ease their passing. It's time for legislators to put ‘OHANA FIRST and pass paid family and medical leave.

In 2024 we...

• Grew a coalition of 27 organizations and 32 individuals
• Gained a support of over 450 individuals statewide who signed our petition
• Had 5 bills on the docket
• Had advocates who submitted 933 pieces of testimony in SUPPORT throughout session
• Passed bills through 9 hearings
• Successfully held the first #OhanaFirst Paid Leave Rally at the Captiol
